Community Engagement Manager

Visit Vacaville is a non-profit organization tasked with marketing the City of Vacaville as an overnight tourist destination. We are the city’s official destination marketing organization.


We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated individual with experience working with community groups and event planning. The Community Engagement Manager will be responsible for planning and executing Visit Vacaville events such as Restaurant Week, Arts Week, our Farm to Table Dinner, and our Annual Tourism Breakfast. Will also interface with community groups hosting events in Vacaville to assist with planning and marketing. Sales of advertising in Visit Vacaville publications, on our website and sponsorships will also be required.

The ideal candidate will also have experience running events, and sales experience. Tasks require a strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines. The Community Development Manager reports to the President & CEO.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Planning & executing events
  • Meeting with community partners
  • Ability to work independently in/out of office
  • Build relationships with community groups
  • Sponsorship and ad sales
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Detail Oriented
  • Ability to lift objects up to 40 pounds
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products
  • Established relationships within the community a plus
  • Excellent communication skills

Full-Time Position (40 hours per week). Hourly rate commensurate with experience. Range: $21.00 -$23.00 per hour.
