Visit Vacaville COVID-19 Recovery and Reopening Resource Guide

Resources and tools for sanitization and cleanliness for hotels, restaurants, attractions, and general business

During this unprecedented event, it is our mission to keep our residents and visitors informed and focus on the health and safety of all those who live or travel to Vacaville.

As the COVID-19 situation is continuously evolving, we are monitoring vigilantly and will be posting updates and links to important websites and information here. We are working with Federal, state and local governments and health authorities to support efforts to mitigate the spread of this virus.

During this uncertain time, we know one thing – we value all of you; many of whom are our repeat visitors who have been coming to our destination for years.While we understand that this may impact your travel plans, we want to keep you updated with the steps we are taking to keep your health and safety top of mind and remind people to travel responsibly.

For the most up to date COVID-19 information, please refer to the California Department of Public Health website. We have also closed our Visitor Center out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our staff.  We encourage people to utilize our online trip planner. Schools in the area are closed, and the Governor has issued a state of emergency to expedite spending and free up resources available to them.

Our hotels, restaurants, and most businesses are open, some in a limited capacity. They have increased disinfecting and social distancing measures to help ensure the safety of our visitors and employees. These enhanced measures are some of the most stringent in the industry, and we are working with all businesses, attractions, restaurants and others county-wide to make sure they are implementing these current sanitation and best health practices.

Pack a picnic lunch or call in a to-go order at one of our small, locally owned restaurants who will have it ready for you to pick up. Then hit the trail and enjoy the calm disconnectedness that only nature can offer. Consider purchasing a gift card for a future trip to support our local businesses now when they need it the most.
Vacaville’s wide-open spaces and great outdoors are always open. Uncrowded and unspoiled, open-air hikes and other outings in nature provide the therapeutic benefits of being outside while practicing social distancing.
Located in scenic Northern California, Vacaville offers an amazing selection of natural assets with social distancing built in to enjoy the cool, crisp, and clean mountain air, including:

Lagoon Valley Park – 470 Acre Park, hiking and biking trails
Browns Valley Hills – Open space with no officially-marked trails
Community Parks

To protect yourself and others, please take the following precautions as recommended by the CDC:

Wash your hands frequently with warm water and soap for at least 20 seconds;
Avoid sharing food and drinks;
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth;
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue or into your elbow; and
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

During this time, our hearts and thoughts are with those who have been affected by this. We send our deep appreciation to those in our community, the healthcare industry and first responders who are working on the front lines to mitigate the spread and impact of this virus.

Our community and its people are resilient; we will persevere through this and are optimistic about the future.
We thank you for considering Vacaville and we look forward to welcoming you back.

Safe Social Distancing Ideas

Here in Vacaville we are fortunate to have a variety of parks and open spaces as well as trails and bike routes. As we grapple with the spread of the Coronavirus and practice social distancing we can help prevent the spread of the virus by engaging in activities outdoors and away from others. We have compiled a few outdoor activities that we hope you may find enjoyable while at the same time safe and limiting in our exposure to others. You can find some great ideas in our blogs on the side panel. Plan a picnic by ordering food from one of our local restaurants offering takeout or delivery (more information about open restaurants located below) and visit one of our gorgeous parks or recreation areas.
