Port of Cultures

July25
11:00 AM - 8:00 PM

As Vallejo commemorates its 175th Anniversary, the City of Vallejo is

launching Global Saturdays, a new community activation initiative that celebrates Vallejo's cultural diversity

while supporting local businesses, activating public spaces, and bringing people together through arts, culture,

commerce, and shared experiences.

The initiative debuts on Saturday, July 25, with Port of Cultures, the inaugural Global Saturday Day & Night

Market Experience. It is presented by the City of Vallejo and produced by the 707 Committee, a collective of

community leaders and professionals selected by the City to develop and implement the initiative. Port of Cultures transforms Vallejo's Waterfront and Downtown into a vibrant cultural destination where residents and visitors can experience the cultures, creativity, entrepreneurship, and community spirit that define Vallejo.

By bringing together local businesses, artists, performers, makers, nonprofit organizations, and community partners, Port of Cultures reflects the City's commitment to creating welcoming public spaces, strengthening neighborhood connections, and supporting local economic vitality.

Port of Cultures is the first event in the City's new Global Saturdays initiative, creating destination experiences that celebrate culture while supporting local businesses, artists, and entrepreneurs.

Throughout the day, attendees can enjoy:

"We're honored that the City selected the 707 Committee to help bring this vision to life. Port of Cultures demonstrates what's possible when local government, community leadership, businesses, artists, and residents come together around a shared vision. When we activate public spaces, we strengthen local economies, cultural identity, and the kind of connected community people are proud to call home. As Vallejo celebrates its 175th Anniversary, Port of Cultures demonstrates how collaborative investment can help communities thrive. "
