Discover Vacaville's Accessible travel
Limitless Travel
Travel is for everyone. From the inclusive Play For All Park to accessible in-room accommodations, Vacaville offers everything needed to make our little slice of paradise welcoming and accessible to all.
Ah, welcome friends! 👋😄
I’m Vacaville—and if I may say so myself, I’m more than just a charming Northern California stopover. I’m a lively city that believes everyone deserves to explore, relax, and enjoy life—without barriers. That’s why I’ve made accessibility one of my top priorities. From my downtown sidewalks to my scenic parks, I’ve worked hand-in-hand with organizations like Wheel the World and TravelAbility to ensure that travelers with disabilities feel not just accommodated—but genuinely invited. I even joined the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program, so visitors can signal the need for assistance discreetly, and I’ve got hotels with rooms measured down to the inch to ensure your comfort.
I’ve got the great outdoors, and I’ve made sure it’s for everyone. Come roll along my trails at Lagoon Valley, Browns' Valley, or Peña Adobe Park—my paths are paved and welcoming, my picnic spots easy to access, and my restrooms thoughtfully designed for all travelers. You’ll hear the rustling oaks, feel the breeze off my hills, and know you’re part of the landscape, not just passing through it. My Alamo Creek Bike Trail and Andrews Park Loop offer smooth surfaces, gentle inclines, and plenty of space to breathe and move freely.
I don’t just invite you to see nature—I want you to be in it.
And when it’s time to unwind, I’ve saved you a seat. My local museums and theaters (Brendan Theaters, Vacaville Performing Arts Theater) have accessible entrances, listening devices, and the friendliest staff ready to help however you need.
Craving a bite or a boutique browse? My restaurants and shops have wide aisles, barrier-free entries, and spaces that welcome wheels and walking aids alike.
Getting here is easy—I sit snugly between San Francisco and Sacramento, with Amtrak, buses, and airports all within reach. So come see me. I’ve put care into every corner, because I don’t just want to be a place you can visit—I want to be one you’ll want to return to.
Please check out all of the local services below—and I can't wait to meet you!
