It’s one of the best times to get out and explore—sip local wines, take in the vineyard views, visit farm stands, and experience the flavors and energy of the season firsthand.

🎃 Cool Patch Pumpkins

Just up the road from Vacaville, Cool Patch Pumpkins is a must-do during harvest season. Open September 19–October 31, daily from 9 AM–8 PM, the patch is packed with fall fun—from pumpkin picking and hayrides to the giant corn bath, hay castle, and its famously massive corn maze. Come for the pumpkins, stay for the adventure, and soak up all the best parts of fall.

🎃 Fall Fun Grows at Morningsun Herb Farm

This October, Morningsun Herb Farm is turning the countryside into a full-on fall playground with its first-ever Great Pleasants Valley Pumpkin Patch, open on weekends October 3–November 1. Expect pumpkins and fall flowers, kid-friendly games, photo-worthy country scenery, and plenty of reasons to slow down and soak up the season.

Then on October 10, things get wonderfully creative with the Great Scarecrow Showdown. Families, friends, businesses, and nonprofits can team up to build scarecrows that are silly, spooky, or downright artistic, with the finished creations staying on display in the patch for much of October. Add in the Great Pie-Off on October 17 and Halloween fun on October 31, and Morningsun is shaping up to be one of Vacaville’s most festive fall stops.

🎃 Sweet Pea’s Boutique

Fall gets a little sweeter at Sweet Pea’s in Vacaville. Stop by for its seasonal pumpkin patch, festive fall décor, local goods, and the always-creative Scarecrow Contest—plus plenty of photo-worthy moments and pet-friendly fun along the way. It’s an easy local stop for pumpkins, autumn vibes, and a little spooky-season personality.

🎃 Fresh-Picked Fall at Larry’s Produce

A Suisun Valley favorite since 1986, Larry’s Produce is a great stop for soaking up the harvest season. Their fall pumpkin patch features more than 40 varieties of pumpkins, all grown right on the farm, plus a corn maze, corn pit, photo ops, and hayrides when available. Best of all, entry and activities are currently free, making it an easy fall outing for the whole family.

While you’re there, browse the farm stand for seasonal fruits and vegetables or check out the U-Pick fields for an extra taste of Suisun Valley agriculture. Larry’s is open 9 AM–5 PM every day except Wednesday during the season.

🎃 Trick, Treat & Stroll Downtown!

Celebrate Halloween in Downtown Vacaville with an afternoon of costumes, candy, music, and family fun at the annual Halloween Stroll. Head to Merchant, Main & Parker Streets from 4–6 PM for trick-or-treating, music in Town Square, the Scarecrow Contest, and plenty of treats—all at this free family event.

Journey Coffee Co. is pouring its house-made pumpkin latte alongside fresh pastries from its bakery, while Attalus Coffee is getting a little spooky with its seasonal Spooky Season coffee blend, featuring tasting notes of gummy worms, caramel apple, and sweet milk chocolate.

Pair your coffee crawl with a stop at Pure Grain Bakery for fresh-baked fall favorites, then settle in, slow down, and savor the season. Whether you’re craving pumpkin, caramel, warm spices, or just a really good cup of coffee, Vacaville has plenty of ways to drink in the flavors of fall.
