At Al Patch Park, just off Peabody Road, you’ll find softball fields, a football field, and an all-purpose track. Or visit Andrews Park in Downtown Vacaville, home of the Great Wonders Playground: a massive play structure complete with a super-climbable dragon sculpture that’s a favorite for photos. Looking for a spot to bring tiny tykes? Hawkins Park is a favorite for toddlers, and Magnolia Park offers fun warm-season water play for kids of all ages! Adventurous climbers can tackle the famous Nut Tree Boulders in the Browns Valley Open Space, or explore the coastal redwoods of Jack Hume Grove (located a short walk in along the trail at the end of Butcher Road).

VACAVILLE DOG PARKS

Vacaville is home to two spacious dog parks: one at Lagoon Valley Park and one at Centennial Park. The Lagoon Valley dog park is 30,000 square feet and fully fenced. It features picnic tables, benches, canine drinking fountains, and plenty of shade trees. The Centennial Park dog park offers separate, fenced areas for pint-sized pups and bigger dogs, and has drinking fountains for the dogs. As a newer park, the shade trees are still on the smaller side, so plan for some sunshine during summertime.
