Things To Do In Vacaville
From neighborhood farm stands to roadside markets, discover where to get the best local produce in and around Vacaville!
For affordable & delicious local produce, and fun live entertainment, check out the Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings at Andrews Park in Downtown Vacaville.
The Vacaville Farmers' Market is returning to the Creekwalk Plaza in Andrews Park for the 2019 season! Opening day is May 4th and the season will run through the end of October. By popular demand, the Market will begin and end one hour earlier, returning to the time slot of 8am-12pm to help beat the heat. Spend your Saturday morning strolling among local favorites like Clay’s Bees (aka Pleasants Valley Honey Company), and take your pick of local produce to create the ultimate farm to table meal. With live music and plenty of kid-friendly activities in idyllic Andrew’s Park, this event makes Saturday mornings fun for the whole family. Best of all, admission is always free, making it an affordable way to shop local and get high quality produce straight from the source.
Just outside of Andrew’s Park, Historic Downtown Vacaville offers the perfect place to stop for breakfast, Heritage House Café serves up classic dishes and offers patio dining when the weather is nice, or head to Pure Grain Bakery for traditional German pastries, coffee, and fresh-from-the-oven bread. Or grab your drink to-go and take in the sights of Buck Avenue by walking west up Main street. An eclectic blend of Victorian, Mission, and Ranch style homes line the road, making it a fun spot for architecture buffs to explore.
The 2019 Farmers' Market season will run through October 26th, with no market on May 25th (Fiesta Days) and October 19th (Kid Fest). Plenty of free parking is available on East Main St and in the surrounding areas. Dogs on leashes are allowed in the park and in designated areas of the market. It's time to get ready and explore Vacaville's farmers' markets and produce stands!
