Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month in Vacaville
Hispanic Heritage Month is a time to celebrate the vibrant cultures, traditions, stories, and contributions that have helped shape communities across the country—including right here in Vacaville.
From September 15 through October 15, there are plenty of ways to join the celebration. Whether you experience the culture through music and entertainment, discover new flavors around town, or spend an afternoon exploring Vacaville’s history, there’s no shortage of ways to connect with the rich Hispanic heritage woven into our community.
Experience the Culture
One of the best ways to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month is through the arts—and this October, Vacaville is bringing that celebration to the stage with Arteritano Flamenco Company’s Carmen.
Returning for its third year on October 9–10 at the Vacaville Performing Arts Theatre, this reimagined Flamenco ballet adaptation of Bizet’s Carmen blends classical music with the passion, rhythm, and power of Flamenco dance. Featuring the Arteritano Flamenco Company alongside students from its professional training program, the production has become an annual Vacaville tradition celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month through culture, community, and storytelling.
Gather your family or friends, enjoy a night at the theater, and experience the energy of Flamenco firsthand as part of your Hispanic Heritage Month celebration.

Come hungry, because Vacaville’s food scene is another delicious way to celebrate.
From tacos piled high with your favorite toppings and sizzling fajitas to fresh salsa, savory enchiladas, flavorful burritos, and sweet treats, local restaurants offer plenty of opportunities to explore Mexican and Latin-inspired flavors.
